Application
The changeover switch is always required when an electrical device, such as a lamp, is to be switched on or off independently from two different locations or switches. The most common use for the two-way switch is to switch lights on and off in the hallway, corridors or larger rooms with two passages, such as the living room - passage to the kitchen. You will therefore need to connect two light switches there for a two-way switch.
